changes to chfa loan limits
Effective for reservations on or after January 22, 2018, CHFA’s total maximum loan limit for the below CHFA loan programs will increase to $453,100.
This CHFA loan limit does not supersede the loan limit determined by FHA, VA, RD, Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac, as applicable, for the program or loan type you are utilizing. In all cases,
use the lower of $453,100 or the applicable program loan limit determined by FHA, VA, RD, Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac.

- CHFA Preferredsm and CHFA Preferred Plussm
- CHFA Preferred Refinance
- CHFA SmartStepsm and CHFA SmartStep Plussm
- CHFA HomeOpenersm and CHFA HomeOpener Plussm
- CHFA FHA Streamline Refinance
All other CHFA single family loan programs will continue to utilize
the lower of the CHFA 2017 total maximum loan limit of $424,100 or program loan limit determined by FHA, VA, RD, Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac, as applicable.
