important: reduction in dpa amounts
Due to current market conditions, CHFA is making adjustments to its down payment assistance (DPA) options. The following CHFA DPA options will be available
for new loans locked on or after April 1, 2019:
CHFA DPA Grant Option
CHFA Second Mortgage Loan Option
- May not exceed 3 percent (previously 4 percent) of the CHFA First Mortgage Loan amount
Loans locked prior to April 1, 2019, will not be affected. However, please note that exceptions will not be made. For example, if a lender cancels a lock made prior to April 1, 2019 and then requests a relock on a new property on or after April 1, 2019, the lock is subject to new DPA levels.
