CHFA eNews: Home Finance April 1, 2019 reminder: reduction in dpa amounts Effective immediately: the following CHFA down payment (DPA) options are now available for new loans locked on or after April 1, 2019: CHFA DPA Grant Option May not exceed 3 percent (previously 4 percent) of the CHFA First Mortgage Loan amount CHFA Second Mortgage Loan Option May not exceed 4 percent (previously 5 percent) of the CHFA First Mortgage Loan amount Loans locked prior to April 1, 2019, will not be affected. However, please note that exceptions will not be made. For example, if a lender cancels a lock made prior to April 1, 2019 and then requests a relock on a new property on or after April 1, 2019, the lock is subject to new DPA levels.
