clarification of chfa electronic signature policy
Recent updates to the CHFA Seller’s Guide included the restatement of our existing policy prohibiting the use of electronic signatures on mortgage loan documents. The explicit statement of this policy in the Guide has prompted a number of questions from lenders. To clarify, electronic signatures are permitted on purchase contracts and disclosures only. All other documents must be signed via a written signature.
Please let us know if you have additional questions about this policy or any others included in the recent updates. We appreciate your partnership.
