Have you heard of the Golden Rule? It states, “Treat others as you would want to be treated.” The funny thing about that rule is that not everyone wants to be treated the same way. The Platinum Rule addresses that discrepancy by stating, “Treat others as they want to be treated.” It is a slight change, but makes all the difference when working with people.
Join us to learn how exemplifying the Platinum Rule can improve your communication with renters as well as fellow staff. We will do a self-analysis and cover the four basic styles of communication you are encountering in communication every day. You will eliminate misunderstandings and roadblocks with others instantly as you see how matching your communication to the styles of others can allow you to move forward in previously difficult conversations.
See you in class!
