Location determined for “Efficient Operation and Maintenance of Boiler Systems”

Many thanks to the Colorado Springs Housing Authority for the use of its second floor training room at 831 South Nevada Avenue on Tuesday, November 18. Class will be held from 9:00am to Noon.

Take advantage of this opportunity to work on your troubleshooting issues with expert Steve Doty, Energy Engineer for Colorado Springs Utilities. His training will focus on finding you cost savings in your boiler’s efficiency, maintenance, and operational practices.

In case you missed “Motivational Interviewing”

Here’s a tip from presenter Melinda Marasch, LCSW, on how to achieve better results from your conversations with residents:

Careful:Don't jump to solutions! Take some time with your clients. Listen and empathize to what they are saying. Push your thoughts aside for a few minutes, including questions you have, things you want to say, referrals, and resources you want to give. People need to feel heard before they can take in information or advice—and before they can take action. So, mind your tendency to jump to the answers!

See you in class!
