DENVER REGIONAL COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS HONORS CRIS WHITE WITH A DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD
(DENVER) –Cris White, CEO and executive director for the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority, received a Distinguished Service Award from the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG). The award was presented by DRCOG Chair Elise Jones at DRCOG's annual awards celebration, April 27 at the Westin Denver International Airport.

"Cris has been a leader in community development and accessible housing in our region for years, creating jobs, revitalizing neighborhoods and helping individuals achieve the dream of home ownership," said Jennifer Schaufele, DRCOG executive director.
White served as vice chair of the Sustainable Communities Initiative executive board and was instrumental in facilitating strong and productive relationships within the regional housing community. He has provided insight into the challenges for workforce and affordable housing to the Metro Vision Ad Hoc Committee on Housing, and was a frequent commenter at DRCOG Board of Directors meetings during the Sustainable Communities Initiative process.
DRCOG presents Distinguished Service Awards to individuals who make significant contributions to the Denver region and its communities, and to DRCOG's programs and activities. The regional council has been honoring outstanding achievements for more than 30 years.
